Drilling For Gold (and Silver)
SW Florida’s own Fred Drilling did it again, winning Gold in 75 doubles and Silver in the singles. Leland Housman edged him out for singles Gold, 6-4,6-4. And he teamed with Rick Fried of Hawaii, who, according to Fred, “was a teammate of mine at U of Ariz only 54 years ago:)!” They beat the team (that Fred put together at the tournament) of Alan Carter and John Popowell.

Naples City Tournament
Delay and frustration are the key words here. Matt Davie and I are still waiting for the 70s doubles semi-finals match to be played, so we can play our finals before I head north next weekend.
According to Naples friends, that is why many do not enter this event. For what results there are to date in the multitude of categories, just click HERE.
