2015 Friendship Cup

quebecThe long-running annual competition between the New England states and players from Quebec, Canada, is taking place this weekend at Chuck Kinyon’s Quechee Tennis Club (VT). I am participating for the second year and playing singles and doubles in the 70s age bracket (weather permitting).

Our team captain Mike Kolendo (45s) has worked hard and put together a solid team to try to defend our title from last year’s victory, which took place at the beautiful resort of Mount Tremblant, north of Montreal. Here is our lineup as of two weeks ago….

  1. I’m now in the doubles finals of the 70 Hard Courts in irvine with Ken Dahl from Vancouver. Who are the Canucks in our age division?

    Fred – Great to hear! I will find out who the competition is tomorrow. Last year i played Ali Bacha (#1 in Quebec and #3 in all of Canada) and came back from match point down in the second set to win in three. George
