You’re playing a big point and you hear the sound of your strings breaking. What should you do?
Since you will be losing most of the control on the ball, the Common Wisdom is “come to the net and hit volleys.”
But New Jersey tennis professional Steve Diamond, Tennis Director at Green Brook Country Club, has a different suggestion. He recommends that you hit only side spin shots off both sides; because he feels that will give you a better chance of controlling your ground strokes.
What do you normally do?? Try Steve’s idea next time it happens to you and see how it works!
